BEAUMONT – Lamar Institute of Technology Foundation received an initial $25,000 donation from the American Dental Partners (ADP) Foundation, on behalf of Carus Dental. The donation will establish the Carus Dental Hygiene Scholarship Endowment, benefiting Hygiene students at the college.Tasha Bates, LIT alumna and Carus Dental’s Regional Hygiene Mentor of Operations, formally presented the check to LIT President Dr. Lonnie L. Howard, Foundation Director Mandy Clayton and Allied Health and Sciences Department Chair Allen Welch.

Clayton said, “We are excited to have this opportunity to cultivate our new partnership with Carus Dental and we are pleased to offer these scholarship funds to deserving Dental Hygiene students at LIT.”

The ADP Foundation was created in 1999 by American Dental Partners, Inc., as a tax-exempt, non-profit organization dedicated to improving oral health care through dental education and community outreach. ADP Foundation’s mission is to improve oral health care as a valuable component of overall health: education, disease prevention and community patient care. Enrollment for LIT’s Dental Hygiene program is ongoing for Fall 2022.
