Foundation to Host 17th Annual Sporting Clays Classic

Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT) will host the 17th Annual Sporting Clays Classic on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the One in One Hundred Gun Club. The event benefits the LIT Foundation and provides scholarships to LIT students. 

"Over the past 17 years, this event has made it possible for over 450 students to receive scholarships here at LIT, totaling $1.7 million," said Krista Hunter, LIT Executive Director of Foundation. 

Sponsorships ranging from Individual Shooter to Platinum Sponsor are available. Teams may sign up for 8 a.m. or noon flights. Participants vie for prizes, while enjoying a day of competition, food and fun. 

Last year, LIT's Sporting Clays Classic raised a total of $72,262 for scholarship funds
