LIT Foundation marks 15th year hosting Annual Sporting Clays Classic on March 26

BEAUMONT – Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT) will be hosting LIT Foundation’s 15^th Annual Sporting Clays Classic. The event’s benefit the LIT Foundation and provide scholarships to LIT students.

In 2021, LIT Foundation was able to award 62 recipients nearly $60,000 in scholarships, due to the event.
According to Foundation Director Mandy Clayton, the 2022 goal is to award $70,000 in scholarships. Sponsorships ranging from Individual Shooter to Platinum Sponsor are still available. Due to an ammunition shortage this year a limited amount of ammunition will be available at the event.

Platinum sponsors are ExxonMobil Beaumont, Golden Pass LNG and Provost Umphrey Law Firm.

Teams may sign up for 8 a.m. or noon flights on March 26 at the 1 in 100 Gun Club, Lumberton. Participants vie for prizes, while enjoying a day of competition, food and fun.
