Five LIT Employees Honored with 2025 NISOD Excellence Award

Five Lamar Institute of Technology employees have been selected as recipients of the 2025 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award. The award recognizes college faculty and staff for their work in support of teaching, learning and student success.
This year’s LIT honorees are:
- Kenneth Mason, Associate Vice President of Accreditation and Strategic Initiatives
- Trazarra Stelly, Criminal Justice Program Director
- Gerardo Rodriguez, DevOps Engineer
- Harry Morgan, Adjunct Instructor, Allied Health and Sciences
- Marcus Cooper, Math Tutor
Each recipient was nominated by the college for consistently demonstrating professionalism, service and contributions to student learning and institutional improvement.
The NISOD Excellence Award is presented annually to individuals across the country who contribute to advancing the mission of their institutions. Those who are awarded are invited to attend NISOD’s annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence, where they are formally recognized.
