How Online Learning Works
Lamar Institute of Technology offers courses in three forms: fully online, fully face-to-face on campus and as hybrids that combine more than 50% of on-campus time with partial online time. Courses and programs offered fully online do not require a visit to the Institute campus, but may require a visit to a certified testing center, an on-ground lab and/or a work practicum site in the student’s local area.
Admissions, curriculum and graduation requirements for online courses are the same as classes taught on campus. While online students don’t attend in a traditional classroom, assignments and other course deadlines apply.
Off-Campus Sites
Lamar Institute of Technology also provides credit courses at several convenient off-campus sites including theFrank Robinson Center in Silsbee, Silsbee Middle School, Gist Correctional Facility and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
