Online Learning

Meeting our Eagles where they are!
Online Learning (OL) provides an environment for students to expand their learning experience beyond a traditional face-to-face classroom setting as one avenue in meeting LIT's mission of providing innovative teaching and learning for tomorrow’s workforce.

Courses completed online allow students to attend class anytime, from anywhere, through Internet access and email. OL mirrors the traditional classroom expectations by having discussion boards for peer interactions, assignments with due dates and other course deadlines to complete in a virtual setting.

LIT’s Learning Management System (LMS) is Blackboard for online and face-to-face classes. Students access Blackboard through their myLIT single sign on system.

Online courses may require special software or proctoring agreements for labs and/or exams to provide an in-depth and user-friendly experience for learners. This information will be outlined in the course syllabus.
