Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT) is now taking applications for the Fall 2024 esthetics certificate program.

“We are very excited to be adding esthetics to our cosmetology program’s certificate offerings,” said Tamalla Jones, Business Department Chair. “The esthetics certificate program will provide our students with a solid foundation in esthetic techniques and also emphasizes the importance of professionalism and client care.”
Students will gain hands-on training in various facial treatments, including cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and mask application. The program is 25 semester credit hours and can be completed in as soon as one year.

“Graduates of this program can pursue careers including licensed esthetician, salon/spa esthetician, makeup artist, skincare specialist and beauty consultant,” said Jones.
