Lamar Institute of Technology launched the Eagle Learning Essentials (ELE) textbook rental program on July 31. Through this program, students can receive required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes and electronic books conveniently before the first day of class.

“We are very excited to introduce the ELE as an affordable option for our students,” said Dr. Angela Hill, Provost/Vice President of Instruction. “LIT is continually seeking ways to reduce any financial strain on our students and make preparation for courses a smooth process. Our partnership with Barnes and Noble College on the ELE has a goal to achieve both of these things.”

The ELE bundle will provide the needed learning materials at $14 per credit hour (added to a student account), saving students up to 35-50% on the cost of course materials.

LIT students, with the exception of dual credit students, are automatically enrolled in the program at the time of registration and will begin receiving emails about selecting their preferred delivery method. Learn more about the ELE at https://lit.edu/student-success/eagle-learning-essentials
